Central Arizona College is pleased to offer equine classes to the residents of Pinal County and the east valley. Our lead instructor, Queen Valley resident Steve Edwards, is a national equine expert. Steve has been training and giving clinics across the country for almost two decades. His long list of experiences include: establishing a two-year mule training program at Pierce College in California; developing a riding and driving program at the Phoenix Zoo; International clinician, RFd TV and a provider of packing services in Yosemite and Grand Canyon National Parks and the National Forest Service in Arizona.
Participants interested in bringing an equine to the Saturday classes at the Queen Valley Mule Ranch may do so by first getting permission from the instructor and then paying an additional $40 fee at the time of registration.

East Valley residents are being offered a unique opportunity to
participate locally in an in depth equine program. Central Arizona
College is offering equine classes to residents of Pinal County and
the east valley. Whether you are a rank beginner of any age, just
thinking about possibly owning a horse, or, someone who wants to
improve their skills, there will be a topic of interest for you.
Classes are held at the Superstition Mountain Campus, Apache
Junction, and classes with livestock involvement will be at Steve
Edwards? Queen Valley Mule Ranch.
Edwards has a strong background handling, training and dealing
with all phases of horses, mules and donkeys. Among his
accomplishments are the establishment of a two year mule training
program at Pierce College in California, developing a riding and
driving program at the Phoenix Zoo, and providing packing services in
Yosemite and Grand Canyon National Parks and National Forest Service
in Arizona. In addition to years of local involvement in the equine
industry, Steve has established an international reputation as an
expert in the equine field. He has participated in numerous training
seminars and clinics both nationally and internationally.

whether you bring your animal or not. Prices for Pinal County
residents and non-residents will be the same.

In addition to the College classes, Steve Edwards also offers a
private Apprenticeship Program for those who desire to be a
professional. This is a 40-hour per week program, total 160 hours.
