THE TRAIL LITE SADDLE is made saddle for the cowpuncher or trail rider. Great for shows. WOW!
Look at the all new Buckaroo seat. It's VERY comfortable! Made with showing, working and trail riding comfort in mind for you and your mule; Steve Edwards has designed these saddles to fit all mules! This saddle is built on a durable, molded polyethylene tree with an iron horn encapsulated into the tree to make it sturdy enough to use for packing and working cattle as well as trail riding in rough terrain-guaranteed to fit your mule! Steve has designed, developed, and used since 1981. These are a proven great fit on all mules. Steve has never found a mule that his bars will not fit!
The seat, cantle and pommel are shaped to provide a secure seat and comfort to the rider who spends long hours in the saddle. Since the rear cinch is the most important it must be the tightest, Steve design and uses 5" perforated neoprene cinches front and rear. Tip from Steve: When you tighten the front cinch tighter than the rear cinch this creates a canter lever action which pulls the saddle forward. This is why Steve suggests the rear cinch be the tighter cinch. At only 18 pounds for the 16" Trail Rider, this saddle is lightweight but tough! Yes, Steve has dragged fire wood to the camp. Working cattle, Steve has used this very tough saddle. Available in 14", 15", 16" or 17" seat all trail lite saddles are padded.
Note from Steve: When a padded seat is added your seat size will be 1/2 inch smaller Saddle fitting video comes with the saddle. Steve has developed a video to help you place your saddle, britchen, breast collar and cinches in the correct positions.

Features 7/8 Rigging plate, average mule, 7/8 is a great fit. High Quality durable Imitation Fleece lined skirt.
Why Imitation Lining? Steve has found the wool has no better wear time then wool. Over the past 45 years of riding he has had the wool replaced in saddles every 5 years and has found that the new imitation wool has just as good of wear time as wool.
Why was wool used? The cowboys never use any type of blanket under the saddle they just placed the saddle direct on the back that was the purpose of the wool. The first recorded blanket use was the Calvary needed a place to put a blanket to save weight and time comes with nylon front & rear latigos. (Cinches not included) stainless steel hardware, smooth seat. Many riders prefer their own stirrups. Please note that stirrups or taps may be added to your saddle for an additional charge. Saddles come with 2 1/2 inch wide stirrup leathers. Steve recommends Tapaderos as the safest stirrup. We also offer a top of the line, leather covered stirrup.
TAPS AND STIRRUPS SOLD SEPARATELY.
