Best Saddles We Have Ever Had

Cece and Daisy did not start out as easy mules.

Cece was an untrained, displaced former pack mule. When her family got her two years ago, she was untouchable, could not be caught, would not lead, and was very wary of people. They found Steve when they were at a loss for how to manage her.

Steve helped with training materials, gear, and even took the time to call and answer their questions.

Today, Cece is a fantastic trail mule.

Daisy had a rough beginning too. She was slaughter bound and, when they brought her home, she was unsafe to handle, afraid of everything, and very reactive. After almost a year of time, training, and the same foundation work they used with Cece, Daisy has become a safe, solid trail mule.

Both of these mules are older. Cece learned in her 20s.

Now they follow their family around the pasture, meet them at the gate, and head out on trails and hikes with them in Georgia.

As the owner put it:

Cece rides in Steve’s Cowboy Saddle with the Downhill Hip Pad, and Daisy wears the Extreme Ultralight.

A good reminder that with time, training, patience, and equipment that fits, older mules can make an incredible turnaround.
