This package includes the Headstall, Bit, rein and the Instructional video!

One size fits all if you have a small headed mule just punch holes and cut excess off.

The martingale bridle is great and Molly was a lot happier in the new saddle too. It’s amazing the difference it all has made. If I didn’t have to work I would ride all the time. I can’t thank you enough.

A must have piece of equipment. We were seeing results within the first 10 minutes of using it the first time with our mule, Rosie. She is keeping her face in the vertical. My husband rode her for the first time the other day with the Mule Rider’s Martingale….his first comment was how light she was. Very well pleased.

Excellent piece of equipment. Only a light touch works with Ginger.

Excellent product, The only complaint is the throat strap should be a little longer as I’m on the last hole, but still works great.

Quality construction and my mule is comfortable when she’s wearing it. She is really developing a soft touch, I recommend getting a circingle from Steve when purchasing this if you plan on working your Mule in a round pen.

We have a smaller mule so the bit appears too big, but after watching video and adjusting bridle it sits appropriately and she is softening with each use, we are able to control, prior to this bit she was able to manipulate everything we tried. She is less stressed and looks forward to us going riding

Great tool. Really teaches the mule how to accept a lite touch. Every time I use it my mule gets softer, Great product.

The Mule Rider’s Martingale is a great tool~~the video is great. My mule did just as you said. She keeps her head in line with her back. I’ve learned so much from you from the videos and also I watch you on YouTube. Thanks for all your help, Steve.

Don’t let the “long face” fool you, my mule loves the double twisted wire bit. I have ridden her for many years with a traditional snaffle bit but she has never truly liked it and “chewed” on it a lot. The second I got this new bit in her mouth, and adjusted the way Steve recommends, she didn’t have a smile on her face anymore but you could see she was happier.
The “beta” martingale at first glance wouldn’t satisfy a “purist” leather lover but add a little dirt and dust and it looks and feels like the real thing and like Steve says, it requires a whole lot less maintenance. I personally don’t have a problem with my mules keeping their head down but if you did, this would do the trick. I like how light the reins are on the bit with this design.

We have just started using this and seeing results after the first day. It was a lot of chewing and moving it around for my 11 year old green jenny. She started to get comfortable and calm, and moves with soft touch on the ground. So far, excellent!

This is great for starting mules and to get good control over a headstrong mule. It is excellent for teaching turns, and stops! Good video too!

Very impressed with how my mule accepted the bit, her mouth went quiet almost instantly . Using it with the circingle and she’s doing well. Steve is extremely helpful !

This is good quality with the beta headstall and reins. I use this and a hackamore. I alternate between the two using the martingale when we need to work on headset and softer hands. Grey training aid.

I usually don’t take the time to write reviews but I have felt compelled to say the Mule Riders Martingale is a tool that has helped me become a better mule owner and rider I have better control and my mule understands what I’m asking of him
Thank you Steve for all your help and advice

Used a egg butt snaffle but mule stuff heavy on bit . but the instant my mule took this bit he salivated , played with it , picked it up and relaxed . He rides soft as butter in my hands. Very responsive to light and all commands. I highly recommend

I bought this, it didn’t fit my mule, it was too big and I can’t return it.

This is a custom designed high quality product. My mule accepted the double bit seamlessly by following Steve’s training progression from the halter with baling twine to this Martingale. Thank you Steve!!

Works just as Steve says. My mule grabbed the bit with her teeth but the bit did exactly as Steve said. She let it go and placed it where it felt good to her. The video helps a lot in the setup if you have never used a martingale . Also I was unsure of the beta material but it is perfect for this setup Mich better control of my mule with this setup Don’t waste your time with any other product

I am very happy with my Martingale. My mules like it much better than what I tried before. I also like the biothane, easy to clean and to take care of. Steve is so helpful in supporting me. I had a voicemail on my phone as soon as I ordered. I can ask him questions and he responds very quickly . I definitely want to purchase more of his tack and follow his concept.

What bit do I use to train for riding?

You’ll want to start with the Mule Rider’s Martingale for training to ride. This is going to give you full control and will also keep the mule from elevating his head and tightening all his neck muscles. Just the snaffle bit by itself will teach the mule to brace and after a while they’ll start raising their head and tightening their neck.

The whole martingale keeps the mule honest. The mule wants to get away from doing what you want him to do. They’ll stick their nose out but you don’t feel it or think about it. Then they raise their head but you don’t feel it and don’t think about it. Then they tighten up and they got ya.

Foundation is the most important.
